Real Mexican Food!
A small quiet restaurant, where the food is athletically Mexican!
The service is fast and your foods hot.You get chips and salsa to enjoy.
You wont be sorry! -

Disappointed. Had been wanting to try this place for some time now. The services needs major improvements. What happened to service with a smile? Poor female service. The menudo was not menudo. I never made menudo but have tasted menudo from several places and this menudo needs lots of work. The chili verde, beans, and potatoes had a under cook look and poor taste.
Sadly, this place has been around for quite some time and has me wondering how its been in business as long has it has been.
They might want to rethink their food strategy.

I have been eating here for years. The absolute BEST huevos rancheros!!! This place is legit Mexican food!

Jorge's is a sad place to eat. The beans tasted old, the rice was mushy and the enchilada was chewy and the shredded beef inside was rubbery, a sure sign that it had been over-microwaved. The initial basket of chips you get, while tasty, are about a handful's worth and they charge $1.49 for any more.
They've also recently raised their prices to about where Bobby Salazar's are, but nowhere near the quality.
After we finished, we sat for about 15 minutes while the one server who was working sat at a table chatting with the owner. We finally had to stand up and wave near the door to get them to ring us up.
This place has been around for at least 25 years and once upon a time the food was decent and decently priced. Now it just kind of shambles on like the owner lost the desire to impress or churn out food that would make people want to come back.
For what you pay, you'd be better off finding another Mexican restaurant. There are plenty to choose from in Fresno, with the same or better prices and food that does not taste like apathy on a plate. -

This is my whole families favorite Mexican restaurant!! Super casual tasty Mexican food. I recommend the ground beef tacos and ground beef enchiladas! And the price is right, I hope this restaurant never changes.
